Brunswick Heads Marine Rescue has a new rescue boat/platform, what a great addition to a wonderfull volunteer group.

"RUBBER DUCKIES CAN SURF".

The rubber duckie, aka, 'giddy boat, better known as the INFLATEABLE RESCUE BOAT, IRB for short. Invented by AVALON BEACH SURF CLUB in the late 60's.
Dedicated to surf rescue, WARREN MITCHELL and with great participation from JOHNNIE FULLER, the IRB was developed.
Numerous people have been saved by this rescue platform, and not only in the surf. Here are some video footage of skilled operators having a "big" day.
